Sn0wbreeze 3.1.3 is out, and you can now jailbreak your iPhone 2G, 3G or 3GS only Older bootrom (non-MC). Do not try this if you have iPhone 3GS with new bootrom. Use f0recast before you continue to check whether your jailbreak will be tethered or untethered and whether you iPhone is unlockable or not. This tutorial will unlock your iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G and 3GS users can unlock their iPhones using ultrasn0w or blacksn0w

Pre requisites

  - Latest iTunes
  - sn0wbreeze 3.1.3
  - iPhone 3.1.3 IPSW file (google it to get it) (iPhone 2G, 3G and 3GS have their separate IPSW file) (You can download it from iTunes too, by selecting the option Download Only, when you connect your iPhone, iTunes will download it to your C:\Users\{your Username}\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates )

It is advised that you back up your iPhone before continuing, to do this sync you iPhone with iTunes and it will create a backup automatically.

Now follow this guide to jailbreak your iPhone

1- Launch sn0wbreeze

2- Click Simple Mode and then click on Blue arrow.

3- Now click on Browse and choose the 3.1.3 IPSW file according to your iPhone and sn0wbreeze will verify it.

4- Now click on the Blue Arrow, now click Start now sn0wbreeze will ask you if you want to activate your phone, click Yes if you dont want to stick with the official carrier e.g. AT&T.

4- sn0wbreeze will create the jailbroken IPSW file for your iPhone, which will be sitting on your Desktop.

5- Now connect your iPhone with PC and launch iTunes, and press Shift + click on Restore and select the jailbroken IPSW file you created with sn0wbreeze.

6- Thats it, iTunes will upgrade to 3.1.3 OS, and your iPhone is jailbroken.
